Great card. It really helps the Soldier tribal. If it needed help... (No, I refuse to mention the flavor text , since that's all the other comments.)
This doesn't make any sense: How does firing a catapult exile anything?
Then you realize that they're not firing the catapult at the creature, they're loading the creature into the catapult...

Come on wizzards make catapult Master legal in modern!!!!!!! Core set 2014 is a great opportunity!!!!!!
There is no M in Legacy but there is one in Modern... and in Magic 2014... and in Magic the gathering... and there definitely should be one in standard as well!

I prefer to think that it just takes 5 soldiers to man/load/fire the catapult. Emrakul is merely hit by the tactical nuclear weapon they loaded.
Why they have tac-nukes but still need a catapult, who knows!?
They're also a rather good shot in my version of the card.
It's interesting that the card is so little changed after so long and remains playable -- slightly lower casting cost, limited by tribe instead of color, exiles instead of destroying, etc, but the basic concept remains the same.

Have this in my casual Soldier token spamming deck. It's so fun to just watch their faces drop as I use my dozens of tokens to clear their board at the end of their turn.
