I'd love to know the artists thoughts when he was commissioned to paint this. Very... unique.

Judge Reinhold died shortly after posing for this artwork. I wonder why?

For some reason, all I can think is that this guy is some sort of Innistrad spokesperson. You never see that smile on someone who isn't trying to sell you something. "Head-Off! Apply directly to the skin! Head-Off! Apply directly to the skin! Head-Off! Apply directly to the skin!"

I know auras aren't generally good, card disadvantage and all. But this seems like a good one to slap on Tormented Soul. It doubles his damage and makes him harder to remove.
I love this card's connection to Drudge Skeletons. Almost all creatures have skeletons, so why can't we cut to the chase and start reanimating them now?
Can I have a mirror? Dear God, what happen to your face. When did Goblins start doing facial reconstruction?

Once you get passed the first 'WTF!' moment as you loook at the card, you realize that that face is too damn happy. Seriously, look at that smile. I've heard the term 'grinning from ear to ear,' but this is ridiculous.
I will stubbornly insist that this picture is cropped, and the original had our happy skeletal fellow doing jazz hands, dancing to a jaunty tune.

Use this with Nested Ghoul to make a cheap but effective token generator.

I think he's a cousin of the Remove Soul skeleton.

PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING!
This man has listened to TOO MUCH HARDCORE DUBSTEP, and has thus suffered severe MELTING OF THE FACE.
Don't make the same mistake!

I really just hate the art -- the card isn't terrible, but I can't play it with that art... it just doesn't fit into the theme of Innistrad at all. Look at him, he's giggling and tee heeing like a little school girl. Where's the morbidness in his eyes? It's missing! MISSING!

Beefs up a creature and has cheap regen. Throw on a chump blocker and he can take out slightly bigger attackers. Or just put on anyone to make them immune to anything but bouncing and hard removal. Not saying it's a tournament winning card, but in sealed and casual play, it can definitely turn the tables.
And I'd love to hear anyone's explanation for how they KNOW the skeleton is laughing. The soft tissue is gone. All you know is the mouth is open. He could be screaming in pain ( or anger, or terror, ) laughing, gasping, or in stunned silence. Without facial musculature, you have no lips, cheeks, eyelids, eyebrows, or anything else to tell what expression he would be otherwise wearing.
throw this on a treacherous pit-dweller for some cheap shenanigans

Doesn't it ever scare you to think that, within everyone around you, there's a skeleton just waiting to pop out? Our bony friends are very sneaky.......

I used to think he was smiling, too. But read the flavor text. Then look at the art. Notice how he's actually terrified, since he is having his skeleton pulled out from his mouth. It freaks me the hell out. The card itself is pretty cool, but I can never justify actually using it.

Stuff like this is a nightmare to be facing down in Limited.
It looks insignificant on paper, but remember that +1/+1 can make a huge difference in actual combat. Suddenly that Moon Heron can survive a fight, and Abattoir Ghoul can take out anything on your side of the board.
To make matters worse, Regeneration is an extremely powerful ability in the Limited format, where basic removal spells and combat are often the only options available for creature destruction. Remember that this aura only costs 1B to begin with, and having another 1B open isn't all that difficult, given how long Limited games often run.
Fortunately, Dead Weight existed at common in Innistrad, and Tragic Slip came in at common in the next set, so there were some forces out there to counteract this aura.
Lovely design, though.
