Rime of the Ancient Mariner flavor text is AWESOME

Instant shield for black, very useful. For its cost, this card is pretty damn awesome. Can also be a nasty surprise flyer if you can boost its power with something like a Howl from Beyond

Strictly better than Marit Lage.
