This is such a great card, especially against full blown discard decks. You can choose what you want to draw and get rid of what you don't want.

Because you don't need it. You see your hand all the time so even though the card is selected randomly you see which one was selected. Then when you discard it you can choose whether you put it on the top of your library or into graveyard.
