gets a lot of land out fast in my graft deck. definitely helpful, but it'd be nice if it's casting cost was one less. 3.5/5.

I've found this card to be deceptivley impressive. Its not really cheap mana accel if that's what your looking for because it takes 3 to get it out and then another 4 to get both lands out of it at which point you sacrifice your creature. What's really awesome about it however, is that you can connect its ability with anything that gives counters to all your creatures to give you a re-occuring land search. It's also nice with mirrorweave, graft decks, oran-rief, ajani goldmane, meadowboon, and cauldron of souls. Basically, its no powerhouse, but it's great for combos, in the same way sakura tribe elders are (though slightly slower).

This card is great for landfall. (also instant)
Can make Baloth Woodcrasher become 16/16 trample creature.

So is there a card which lets you put a +1/+1 counter on target creature whenever a land enters the battlefield? That would be nice.

Instant speed Rampant Growth? Yes please. The late game is actually a really good time for this card. Becomes a chump blocker that you can Rampant Growth out of while still not taking combat damage, and at the same time he thins out your deck so all you draw are those nice big bomby cards. 4/5

In green, you probably got this out turn 2 with 2 lands and a mana dork
Turn 3, you will probably have another land, allowing you to attack and activate this guy after combat twice, giving you 2 land
Turn 4, play another land, bam 7 mana

Graft, Proliferate, Gemblades, make this brutal. You establish strong board presence while ramping and mana-fixing. Mix enough proliferate in to utilize depletion lands (Hickory woodlot) and you can ramp while you ramp!

A deck like that costs about $10 after shipping and is fun and fairly effective; depending on how you build it of course.
