Eh...Windstorm was only really for Baneslayer Angel, anyway. I prefer this 2-mana answer to that 6-mana answer, quite personally.

I've been waiting for this card for like 15 years. Good riddance, demons and dragons! Angels...sorry, but you can go to heaven.

Shame you can't hit jwar jwar with it

The art would of been more funny if it had an angel being snared. :D

Yea, I did that in the prerelease. :-)

All other flying creatures have Baneslayer Angel to blame for the creation of this card.

I personally would like Raking Canopy back.
But let's face it,
Not every day you get an answer to BS.
Oh, wait, nowadays, yes you do.
But either way, giving it instant speed saves many green decks from the doom that is soon to come.

Destroy target Baneslayer Angel.

My first thought as I saw this card was that Baneslayer Angel has made so much impact on standard that EVEN green got a removal for it.

I have it on sb cause you never know... I'd prefer it to be "Destroy target white creature with flying." for Green though..

Haha BlueGreen removal deck with Jump and Plummet.

Ugh. "Suicide Black" will take on new meaning to mean player suicides if someone pays the alt cost for Demon of Death's Gate only to see it get bopped by this. Mono-green will almost certainly be side-boarding four of these.

Soaring Seacliff+ Plummet= Gaea' Revenge bane.

"WEE!...wh..uh-AHH-"

Crunchy bits.

Bye baneslayer!
this plus rise from the grave + black white zombie angel!

@Swordfishtrombones: Soaring Seacliff would have to be green for that to work. Just because it's colorless, doesn't make it non-green.

But that combo does look like a fun "Destroy target creature" in monogreen. (Yeah the land is blue. So what?)

Man, those elves hate fliers. I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled out of the forest one day with some sort of elvish flak cannon firing lumps of exploding brambles or somesuch at those meddlesome angels and dragons.

windstorm has the advantage of killing things with shroud.

The flavour text should be simply "BOOM! Headshot!".

Doesn't replace Windstorm however.

What, not killing a drake?

Are all the old traditions dead?

I'm honestly surprised how long it took for this card to get made. And I'm glad it did.

@count_dorku

Drakes were never good besides the spiketails, so good riddance.

I wanted to like them, I really did.

This is a good Core Set staple. Decent power level (it is a good card, and it might occasionally show up in competitive sideboards.)

Flying once was a unique evasion keyword and is now on probably half the cards, so green needs more answers. I do feel bad, however, for Leaf Arrow - I really liked that card when it came out, and then not long after this was printed. I'd much prefer to pay another {1} to destroy creatures bigger than x/3.
