Sadly this card suffers from being from a less popular set in addition to being out trumped recently by lightning bolt's return to standard play.
boltlightning 2013-06-07 ☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0) searing spear didn't come out till M2013 , till then cards like this were pretty good. I like it because it shows power creep over time.
