The classic creature counter. With timing, this can easily stop your opponent's trump card. Worth using in almost any blue deck. Also, the art for this doesn't match the flavor text at all.

Really dig the name of this card, as well as the flavor. As for the function, I'd say it's obviously great sideboard material against creature based decks. It's definitely worth adding if you're blue and have the room.
Though, as great as this card is, normally Negate is a little bit better. Though that's not always the case, so like I said, this is SB material.

The original version of Essence Scatter with bad wording. Given the abundance of counters in Blue, I'm not impressed.
