He's fat, but I don't mind fat. Especially in Naya colors.

Hey, he's the highest rated one. No surprise, they all need trample to work, and he has it.

@ Kryptnyt:
You don't need trample if they don't have flyers.

Often, if you put out a fatty, and you attack with it every turn killing a chump blocker, you come out ahead. However, for the other four elder dragon legends, that is insufficient, since you have to pay three mana every turn for the privilege of killing the one-drop falcons. However, a flying fatty with trample is worth the mana to keep around. For the EDLs, if your opponent has no flying defense, then they lose. For this one, they have to have robust flying defense or they loose.

compare to Nicol Bolas. lol they sure valued trample a LOT. WELL, compared to what creatures were capable of back then, honestly it made sense. Back then. If you're powering them out for lolz, then Palladia-Mors and Chromium tie in my book, but otherwise Weretarrasque is right.
If the re-did the Elder Dragons today, with the rule being 'same casting cost, same upkeep cost, all 7/7 flyers'
then I think we'd see more trample and first strike on the cycle, Chromium would have badass evasion, Bolas would be nerfed, and Arcaddes Sabboth would have something completely different and non-sucktastic. Vaevictus and Palladia would most closely resemble their original forms.

Painfully expensive, but that was typical for its time. Nicol Bolas was the odd-ball out, in that he was actually absurdly good for his casting cost, mainly because of silly interactions with other cards that would let you knock out a foe's hand early in the game. The rest of the Elder Dragons are mediocre, as one would expect.
