The effect is too small for the price of a land. But with Forgotten Harvest, you can at least get a bit more use out of it.

The moment when you play this before your attack and your opponent realises that she has one less blockers than you have attackers and you look at her when she counts how many lands you have is precious.

Well, I guess you can use it in decks where you temporarily steal lands, so you sac them before you return, like with Herald of Leshrac.
Or use it to alpha strike. Like, got 10 mana available, attack with a bunch of weenies, and pump the one that doesn't get blocked. If you win that way, it doesn't matter how many lands you got.
