This card art is just so eerie. three cloaked figures dancing in the fog.. creepy... but an amazing card in my vampire deck, throw 2 down first turn and get Ruin Sage out. Oppenents will be saccin creatures ur every upkeep.

I get it, you guys are trolling because its actually the worst art on any dark ritual, awesome, yeah its "zOmFg ThE bEsT aRt EvAr!!!!!!!111" sheesh, even the original art was better. actually, what do i mean even the original art, that one raped ballz on this one, But on the other hand, it is dark ritual, so i can only give it a minimum of 4.5

Not really. I agree that Mercadian Masques was an abomination, but Dark Ritual is better than the best cards in many modern sets. There is a big disparity in quality between Dark Ritual and your average card, let alone the next best card in Masques.

In regards to the comments about Dark Ritual being the highest rated card in Mercadian Masques: This may be the most popular card in this set, but the most *powerful* card in that set was probably Rishadan Port. The most overlooked card was probably Misdirection, AKA "the other Force of Will" that should never have made it past playtesting because it makes blue impossible to play against without lots of luck on your side.
