@Thaviel: yes, I do believe that is the case. I use those two in combination with Winnower Patrol and Wirewood Pride to make big dents in my opponent's life total.

It also works well with the no-damage-requirement deathtouch of Venom, Thicket Basilisk, and ***atrice (which, not so incidentally, also worked well with Lure, which also works well with this!)

This was worth using in any Lure deck, since it worked so well with several of your other cards. With that said, I'd usually rather just drop an Regeneration on the creature in question, especially since lure decks generally used Verduran Enchantress and the like.

Also note that it can be used during the end-of-combat step, after damage is dealt, functionally giving a creature Vigilance.
