It's so awesome that they made an enchantment into a Vanguard card, though it does not get anywhere near the real Necropotence.

This is only vaguely similar to necropotence, in that it turns life into cards. But the ability to freely choose how much life to turns into cards is precisely what makes necropotence awesome. This is no necropotence.
