Anything other than Jet Medallion to make it cost less? Otherwise Oona's Gatewarden might be a better deterrent.

Great card for limited...it blocks any ground creature and survives, period.

Yeah whatever else you want to say about M10, I think we can all agree that the artwork is truly stunning. This is but another example of top-notch art from the most recent core set.

i agree with demonic. a couple of these and some drudge skeletons will ruin anyone's day when they have +1/+1 and deathtouch

3 Mana for a 1/4 with regenerating is not bad by any means. Sure, 2 would be nice, but Jet Medallion is not needed to make this wall worthwhile. It's no Wall of Denial, that's true, but Denial is freakishly overpowered anyway. This wall is a good defense structure to any deck that needs protection until it gets out it's big baddies.

This wall is amazing! I play it with Death Baron and then no one attacks at all or i kill their crap and get out without a scrach. Even on its own its still a strong defender unless they have a massive army of elves or something. Then no matter what I play I'm dead.

Like a few people hinted at, throw a Death Baron into the mix, and you have a 2/5 with deathtouch and regen. I also like to play Drudge Skeletons in that mix, giving me a solid wall of up to 8 defenders with deathtouch and regen.

Another old but good card; this one has been getting in the way for years!

I actually prefer drudge skeltons, since the effectively do the same thing, albeit with a bit less toughness. Still, Wall of Bone does an admirable job of doing what regenerators do best... being a giant pain in the neck.

I love having cards like this around. Most of the time people play cards that are a combination of hard to kill and effective at attacking. We make some that are even better at attacking, at a cost of being easier to kill. I like to round it out with a card that is super hard to kill, but not much of a threat.
The Wall of Bones does that. It blocks creatures, and is much harder to get rid of than your typical 3 mana creature. That's about it; super hard to kill.

That is not what excited the rest of the developers. Many of them were excited by the subtype "Skeleton Wall". I generally don't pay a lot of attention to stuff like that.

Sometimes I do. When a card is supposed to be a top-down fantasy element, and it doesn't get the expected type, I will ask. Also if there is a card specifically made for an elf deck, I try to let them know. If the design doesn't work for an elf, I try and find out why. But generally I don't pay as much attention as some other developers. There are always going to be people who wonder why some awesome green creature isn't an elf; that would make the elf deck better. It is tempting to give them what they are asking for, especially if you know which cards are the elves. However when a developer does that, the distinction between the elf deck and the other green decks goes away. That is proper in a set such as Lorwyn. But I think it is more fun to keep that the exception, and the game normally is to choose between elf-rewards, and better individual green creatures.
