very good for the growing agro soldier deck type
i like the card my self
its good power and GREAT effect
think its a little cheep (mana wise) for what it is
True_mumin you are very much correct in that WotC is focusing on white in the Magic 2010

4 of these, 4 honor of the pure and 4 valiant guards and by your 5th turn you could have several 3/4s or 4/3s on the table. maybe even greater

This card is what many would call "awesome." Really nice addition to the soldier clan, which was getting fairly bad-a** anyway.
3. Less intensive color costs make for more flexible creatures. White/Blue soldiers? White/Red? Much easier to slip our little lady friend here into a Boros deck than Mr. Marshall.

I'll take veteran armorer over this, for it's versatility and mana cost.

Easily a 4/5, probably better

1. Our lady here is a 3/2. He's a 2/2.
2. He boosts ALL soldiers, not just your own.
