An excellent mana fixer, and the Dark's art is one of the most impressive on a Magic cards I've seen.

Though possibly a little out-dated, I still find her mana ability excellent and I ran her during Ravnica thanks to the reprint. She's not Urborg Elf, but her cost makes her a nice turn 1 or 2 (in my case with a Soul Warden).

I also love the art. She's cute. I'm part Vorthos. Art matters.

i suppose most people like The Dark's "goth girl" art more than the Ravnica one^^

The Magic Web site did an "Ask Wizards" feature where they revealed the actual woman who inspired the artwork for this card. Check it out: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1736

I always loved this card. Awesome art. Like an evil elf with a bad side - I always thought it was one of the best representations of what a Magic card should look like. Not likely to use it - but just a cool card. And it's from the Dark and gets a sweet complimentary expansion symbol!

The art actually looks real. I'm very sad to say that this is a rare thing in MTG.

Everyone loves this card for the art. As do I. Pity the new one is so meh worthy. Great for a deck that uses this mana and likes elves I suppose. Surprised it wasn't tossed into Lorwyn too. Funny how the Golgari got 2 cards from "The Dark".

OK, I really don't get the art love here. The art is pure meh. The girl is vaguely attractive if you are into the "goth" look, that is if you ignore the fact that one eye is higher than the other. Throw on the fact the the figure is breaking the "fourth wall" and staring at the player which makes my inner Vorthos vomit.

The flavor text for this one is also great. I wish the story for older sets like The Dark was as fleshed out as it is for the later sets. Then again, the vagueness is part of its charm.

@Psyklone: Check out Volkan Baga's illustrations. You won't be disappointed.

Strictly better than Elves of Deep Shadow from Ravnica.

Not bad for its time and mana filters can often see some play.

@ pumaman83
One of her eyes appears slightly higher than the other because her head is tilted. If you find her only "vaguely attractive" than you need testosterone injections.

She's in love with herself...
She likes the dark...
And on her milk white neck...
The devils mark.

Only in a fantasy setting are goth girls this attractive.
