I'm a bit surprised about how low this card's rating is, and I have to guess that people are downvoting the art. It's funny how different people look at the same card and see very different things...
I look at this one and think "Yeah, this reminds me of the art from back in the day! Great card!"
I guess nostalgia leads to bias, though, because if you compare the art to that of more recent islands (for example), this painting/illustration definitely looks less detailed or less technical.
