Yes, all abilities are instant unless specified otherwise (okay, and mana abilities, but you needn't worry about those).

I don't get it...so he guards the Kithkin against mosquitoes? Unless malaria is present in the MTG multiverse and insanely common, I don't see the point of a guy specially trained to stab mosquitoes out of the air. Either that or he's guarding mosquitoes, which makes no sense to me. It's like guarding plankton, only plankton doesn't suck your blood and be annoying.

Basically this is a strictly better version of Serra Zealot.

Good in any white weenie decks. I have played a Kithkin deck with lots of success actually, love these little guys!!!!

Actually it's a strictly better version of Serra Zealot which, in itself, is strictly better than Tundra Wolves due to being a soldier.

A nice 1-drop that kills all kinds of things - Lightning Elemental, I'm looking at you. The second ability isn't to be ignored too, and makes this card have some mid to late game relevance. Not a bad card, and was great in Limited as well.

How are Serra Zealot and Tundra Wolves both rated lower than a card that is strictly better than them?
