This thing works. I run two in a discard/resurrect deck, and even if he draws removal, he's done his job. How much removal only does 1 damage? It's always overkill, but they have to answer this. Sorceress Queen keeps him viable in the late game. Better than Painbringer.

I feel like he's missing his Spellshaper errata. Every other spellshaper in the game casts real spells, but also requires discarding one or more cards. He doesn't! That's fantastic. The spell he casts is Scent of Nightshade.
