It can't be worse than Llanowar, it's a different color. They're really not comparable.

That said, it sucks.

Look how wicked he is here, he doesn't care that someone just threw a Lightning Bolt at him, he's the freakin' Storm Crow.

Nice Storm Crow artwork. Flying through a lightning storm is a perfect display of Storm Crow's attitude. Storm Crow does what he wants.

Man I remember a guy attacked me with one of these, then he flung it at me with fling, I took 2 damage! well needless to say I was so traumatized by the experience of it I just quit the game, ran home and hid under my bed rocking back and forth clutching a crucifix.

To think I saw a real Storm Crow, not one of those collector edition ones, or the gold boardered ones from the Tourny decks, but the real thing! if I ever get over my fear I'll ask him if he'll trade me one for my two beta moxes.....probably not though....only an idiot would make that deal....and we all know idiots don't use Storm Crows riiight?

Anyone who thinks this card is mediocre obviously doesn't play competitive vintage. He is literally the entire metagame. You've got CrowTop, Ad Nauseam Crow, Crow Beatdown.... The only decks that Top 8 without Storm Crow are the Chimney Imp decks, and that's only when they can manage to get the Imp's insane card advantage going.

another brilliant creature for the insanely broken bird tribal. when this was in standard, it warped the whole metagame, people were maindecking creatures that specifically had higher power than storm crow, even if it cost them much more. and a lot of decks even had creature removal to deal with this.

people think that new phyrexia will change legacy, but gut shot doesn't even kill storm crow, so i doubt that.

and to the person talking about someone using fling on storm crow obviously didn't realise that fling deals the damage, not storm crow so that combo doesn't work.

hah, power creep indeed

You forgot the most dominant deck that ever existed, Crow-go/ Crowblade.

How is this rated so high? it's just a 1/2 flier for two mana. So many other cards do the job better. And what's with all the stupidly ridiculous claims? he's just a bird. so what?

It's a shame they stopped printing this in 6E, but then again, it's probably a good thing that the lesser Squadron Hawk was the only bird available to Caw-Blade in standard, as this would have made an already powerful deck unstoppable.
