Changelings are best for decks like slivers, and allies, allowing you to gain the benefit from cards that otherwise wouldn't fit into that collection, because they are every creature type. A 4/4 with trample for 5 isn't all that exciting, but can be pretty broken when you have some sliver ability giving it a power boost or etc.

I just can't get over how goofy it looks. The blank stare doesn't exactly increase the credibility of what is, indeed, a jellymoose. I have to wonder if this is one of the shapes considered 'noble' in the flavor text.
