Eh, the ability to limit its number of blockers has combo potential, but intuitively it doesn't feel like all that great of a card.

I agree. You could play Goblin War Drums and make it unblockable, which is okay, but at 3 power that's still not exactly a huge threat.

WHY did this completely mediocre common get an avatar? WHY?

@channlblaze: Because it's a tiger. Do you need any other reason? Plus, it's got some of the, in my honest opinion, best art in the whole freakin' game.

Greatest art in MTG? Not sure, but it gets 4/5 from me for the art and reminding me of the old days.

I love this card... for the art. Terese Nielsen is an amazing artist, and this is quite possibly my favorite piece of her artwork. In fact, this may be my favorite artwork on any mtg card.

This is why I love hitting Random Card. I stumble across cards like this that are absolutely beautiful, art-wise.

Ride the tiger, you can see his stripes but you know he's clean, oh don't you see what I mean?
Gotta love Dio.

Stalking Tiger with Madcap Skills. You're welcome Pauper players ;)
this is probably why, actually. I'm sure that you've all noticed this by now:
there are a small number of 'keywords' that aren't exactly keyworded, or even ability worded, but the slang term is ubiquitously used. "Stalking" is one such word. "Illusion"/"Skulking" is another.

Strictly less holiday-related than Stocking Tiger. http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1380
