bah, I like the old card better. Illusions of Grandeur

Illusions of Grandeur was better with the classic Donate combo, but this card is pretty darn good on its own. Unless you're playing against green or white, it's basically "gain 10 life" for 4 mana, and even if you're playing against those colors, not many people run enchantment removal (though this may have changed with the current block).

7th edition: Where we reprint old cards, their art replaced with horrible art, their flavor text (in some cases, not here) replaced with terrible flavor text.

It's pretty clearly a joke, gais.

And a successful one at that. Ha!

Honestly, this seems far better than IoG to me. The cumulative Upkeep means you're going to end up paying more for the life gain from Illusions than just about any other method after three turns, and as soon as you stop paying you lose all of its benefit. With this, the only limitation is your opponent's enchantment removal.

Ironic that this is the 'second-best' card for what it does, to Illusions of Grandeur

Gain 10 life for 4 mana is not worth it imho. Fog can easily prevent that much damage in powercreeped meta. Best use of this card is in a combo.
