I love this card! It's great in a flood match.I can easily make it a 50/50 creature and have my opponent focused on it and use something even bigger.

That old wording is so neat - flavour is here in the very first place :D

The text desevres 5/5 by itself.
You: Tapping Lands.
Opponent: What are you doing?
You: I'm growing heads, because I may. For 3 mountains apiece...

"Red per head." That's fun to say.
Also, a magic card in history has read "New heads may be grown for apiece." That is so crazy.

Should have given it "Protection from Oracles."

I can't believe that wording lasted all the way until Revised Edition.
4.5/5 because this card turned heads(see what I did there?) on the battlefield.

I used to love this card, but in retrospect, it's really not very good. For any amount of mana you put into it, it is underpowered for the cost. And even though red (at the time this was around) could produce a ton of mana using Manaflares, red has more reliable uses for X mana than this. Today, it's even less viable due to the power creep.
