It can at least attack once before vanishing and has high power (6 is good for 3 mana) for a certain new green planeswalker to draw 6 cards.

Normal summoning: a 6/6 beater swinging on turn four is terrifying, even if it immediately dies. Totally worth it.
Kicked: A 6/6 with Vanishing 5 for . Um...underwhelming is the word I'm going to go with, I think. Still not attrocious, and the versitility is nice, but overall rather underwhelming for the cost. Kicker X for X time counters would have been better and more fun.

Sooooooo... 7 mana for a vanilla 6/6 that disappears in five turns. What the crap?

A serious monster with if you turn 1 Llanowar Elves/ lightning greaves/ Swiftfoot turn 2 and Stampeding Serow or Stampeding Wildebeests turn 4.
You choose the stack of your fifth turn and bounce him at your upkeep turn 5 before the last vanishing counter and drop him or something else again.
4.0 for potential.

3 Mana for a 6/6 blocker, followed by a 6/6 attacker isn't that bad.
But now Varolz, the Scar-Striped exists and I think this fellow might see some EDH or modern play in tandem with him, because that's 3 mana that can then be turned around to drop 6 +1/+1 counters on the field...
Definitely shouldn't overlook this for potential!

Gets nasty with haste, but can come into play turn 2 with an elf or something. Then you can even Tezzeret's Gambit on turn 3.
