This gets very interesting with unrealistically large amounts of tokens. One must graph a downward-facing parabola to calculate the maximum damage dealt on an attack.

y=(1+a+x)(z-x)

y: damage dealt
a: sum of any modifiers to Saprolings' power (Glorious Anthem, etc.)
z: number of Saprolings controlled
x: number of Saprolings sacrificed to Pallid Mycoderm

what you do is sac the blocked saprolings, that is how all the saproling sac abilities should be done, well, most of them

5 attacking saprolings + Pallid Mycoderms = 22 damage in total if unblocked

here's how it goes. Think about it. I hate explaining this.

Fun combo here...i had pallid mycoderm, mycoloth, and 15 tokens.... i sacked the 15 tokens, then played souls might on mycoloth.... now it not only doubled the number of tokens he makes each turn, it gave him an extra 15 as well.

The correct amount of saprolings to sacrifice is exactly enough to make your force lethal. If you don't have enough to make it lethal, only sac them if they would die anyways. (IE: if they're blocked) If you have 10 saprolings attacking and your opponent is at 20 life, then you should sac 2 saprolings to deal 24 damage.

Sure, you could sacrifice 4 saprolings to make your last 6 into 5/5s, and deal a total of 30 damage, but all that does is make it so if your opponent casts some fog effect, you've lost 2 extra saprolings in the attack. If your opponent does something that would throw off your math and make it non-lethal, then simply sacrifice more saprolings to make it lethal again.

Awesome card. You declare attackers, they declare blockers, and sacrifice any blocked saprolings or summoning sickened saprolings. If you sacrifice 3 and attack with 5 others that get through (should be possible in any dedicated saproglare deck), assuming the 5 are 1/1s beforehand, you get a total of 15 bonus power and swing for 20 damage.

Wow. +1 mana and switching to white over Germinator gives *all* of your creatures +1 instead of just a single creature.

Might be worth splashing for in my fungus; as that is a giant giant boost in effectiveness.
