Good flavor indeed, but I believe he gets better with Braid of Fire.

I believe you shouldn't call a piece of cardboard anything more than an "it".

Well in german "the card" translates to "die karte", and since "die" is the feminine that would indicate the word card is female, thus this and all cards are feminine. Then again "the girl" translates to "das madchen" meaning that the word girl is neuter making all this just stupid to argue about.

I like her/him/whatever-strange-hybrid-between-the-aforementioned for flavor, but I'd play other cards instead...

@Tiggurix
It's a good thing we are referring to the hypothetical person that the art on the card is depicting, and not the cardstock that it is printed on.
Otherwise we would appear to be pointlessly anthropomorphizing things.

Edit:
I found some full art, but it somehow managed to not help AT ALL.

I would like to add my two cents as well :D
At least in German, the Javelineer is a "he"
But for me, I must say, he is looking more like a woman too. Maybe the man has long hair to keep warm? :D

Maybe this person doesn't think high about gender identity and considers itself neither man or woman?

In the German printing of the card, the word "Speertraeger" is used. (masculine)

In the Spanish printing, the word "javelinera" is used. (feminine)

WTF!?
