This is the first card with landhome, but why would anyone use the pinging ability on this card, it's a 4/3, attack with it...This is a very flavorful card...

Let's break it down... the Pirate Ship can't "attack" the other players unless there's a water path to that player. However, it can shoot tiny cannon balls at creatures and planeswalkers once a turn. But if you don't have an Island for the ship to hang out at, the ship gets marooned, and dies.

@Flaming0: I completely agree. Tapping the ship feels like you're firing a broadside, but attacking with it (when you're able to) feels like your pirates are raiding an island or a sea port. Funny thing is that your pirates do more damage in melee combat than when firing the ship's cannons. Guess they're a bad shot? or perhaps the ship isn't well equipped - mind you, it has to be light and swift to catch up to those Merchant Ships.
