Even as a suboptimal card, it can serve as a filler in your Ravnica limited deck and if you manage to return it several times, it can even help to win longer "attrition" games. In my last draft with Ravnica I played one of these - I was a little short on creatures - and it was quite decent. Even helped to steal last points of opponent's life in some game.

The thing people neglect about eidolons is that every single one of them works without you even having to play it. All you do is have a deck stuffed with multicolour which discards them for benefit. For example any card which allows you to draw one, discard one like a looter, or lore broker, anything like that, you will essentially end up drawing cards for free.

I have a deck which runs 8 of them and never plays them. Just uses them for free discard.

I'll admit it... this card taught me two new words.

Could have utility in a multi-colored discrd deck.
