Nobody wants to pay 6 for a 3/4 and a weak combat trick.

Agreed. Should cost atleast 1 less mana. The ability is nice and its body isnt too bad but its just too expensive.

How can you make this cost less? Look at the creature for its component parts - it's a Fists of the Anvil (worth ) that also gives you a 3/4 (which is worth about 4 mana these days). I'm not denying that the card would be nicer if it did cost for a 4/4 - or even for a 3/4 - but you could never have a card like that at common, and as a rare it would still be lackluster.

@Tommy9898: I agree with you. I do believe this is priced fairly - for a common - but it turns out that putting these two effects together is not worth to most folks.

@Leshrac: Eh, I personally don't think commons should be weaker than rares just because of rarity- and there are some actually good, viable common cards out there. Anyway, this thing is sadly over-costed to be truly viable.

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.

This card is referencing Fists of the Anvil and likely Blood Lust.

I think it is actually supposed to be referencing Bogardan Firefiend, I remember reading that a while ago somewhere.

Amalgamations of cards should cost slightly less than the total CMC of its parts to account for the loss of flexability: having this card in hand is much less useful than having a Fists of the Anvil and a 3/4 with flash.

To much complaining about how much blah blah costs, and how strong it is. More lets see what this could actually be used for. Just off the top of my head, heartless summoning. Let see that is 3R for a 2/3 and +4/0 to a creature much better now.

If it had haste it'd be sorta cool. But as is, it has a very limited use.
