Not bad. Usually most common creatures that cost seven and possess abilities are severly weakened; often they're 4/4's at max, which usually ruins their potential. The shambler however is a beefy 6/6 that not only grafts, but also grants trample to other creatures when needed.

This was often a game-winner in Ravnica block draft. The Simic "abilities for creatures with +1/+1 counters" bonuses interacted well with the Gruul Bloodthirst creatures, as well as sharing a color (green) with them should you have drafted GreenBlueRed. Not a bad creature, and a big body besides.

Hardly a powerful or flashy card in its own right, but it fills a nice niche. It competes with the likes of Clone and Primalcrux for the highest power among Reveillark targets. It pumps other creatures beyond Epic Proportions. And meanwhile, it gives evasion to potentially any target, doing the same job as cards like Brawn.

For one, Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon loves this guy. Buried Alive for Cytospawn Shambler, Karmic Guide and Skittles, evoke Reveillark. Guide grabs skittles, graft all counters, pay B for haste, collect win.

Sorry Justice, but you need to reread the rules for graft. When a creature comes into play, you may move ONE counter from each creature with graft. You do NOT get to move all 6. I love Skittles as much as anyone, but you'll have to work a little harder for your win.

@Justice

There's also the fact that Primalcrux's characteristic defining ability determines its power in all zones, including the graveyard. So unless you control no other permanents with green mana symbols, you wouldn't be able to fetch him.
