Can somebody name one occasion when I'd want to return one of my attackers to my hand before I know what it's up against. Unsummon, a common, is strictly better than this, an uncommon.

-> you return one of -their- attackers, not yours - But other than that you are correct, it sucks.

This card is funny, as printed it can't be played being a sorcery and the card saying it can only be played when your being attacked. But that's why orical changed it to an instant, but still funny. Just use unsummon

Doesn't the fact that he's victorious make him a Champion anyway?

this is clearly for a deck that already has 4 unsummons in it, but even then there are plenty of more versatile cards available.

It's so frustrating that the Portal 3K cards are so limited and hard to get in the US or even in English for that matter!

Sound off if you want to see them made available somewhere other than MTGO for us US players!

@weretarrasque: No he's the champion of something or someone, in this case probably a group of people or a province in this contest and this card represents his victory.

I guess the flavour-sense is that the champion duels a given opponent and wins, forcing them or the group they were championing to withdraw from battle rather than attack (out of respect/shame).

Loser's Loss

Cast Loser's Loss only during the declare attackers step and only if you're attacking this step.

Return target attacking creature to its owner's hand.
